It is no secret that I love to eat soup. And now that it is fall, I like to eat it more than ever! I was fortunate to be invited to the Campbell’s head office and to learn about their new #HealthyRequest soups.

We were taken on a very special tour of the plant. (Sorry we could not take any photos.) It was great to see how the soups are prepared, from the slicing of the carrots right to the labellng at the end of the tour.

  1. They source their vegetables from local farmers within a 3 hour radius.
  2. They have so many checks to ensure a quality product including a machine that selects carrots based on colour!
  3. They have been working with Canadian farming families for decades. (5 decades for one farming family)
  4. Great loyal employees. Our plant tour was conducted by a 30+ year employee.

Introducing Campbell’s Healthy Request ® Real good soup that’s good real soup.

We all know we only get the best out of our bodies when we put the best in. And that means asking hard questions about the food we choose to eat. At Campbell’s, we challenged ourselves to change your perceptions of soup in a can and what it can do for you. We created Campbell’s Healthy Request® with your needs in mind – food that tastes as good as it makes you feel about eating it.

We started with the basics – a promise that Healthy Request products will never contain preservatives. Ever.* Then we crafted six delicious varieties using high quality vegetables, whole grains, and legumes like sweet potatoes, rutabaga, quinoa and black-eyed peas. Each recipe contains 480 mg of sodium and, if you are looking for Gluten-Free varieties, try the Healthy Request Curried Cauliflower Lentil or Spicy Vegetable Turkey with Rutabaga.

* At Healthy Request, we don’t use preservatives. Period.
