I love to celebrate my birthday. I don’t ever worry about anyone forgetting my birthday. You want to know why? I remind all of the important people in my life that my birthday is coming up. I hope you are not one of those people who wait to see how many people remember their birthday and then begrudge those who have forgotten. Life is so hectic,and you really may not know what is happening in someone’s life. Just do as I do. I am even thoughtful enough to send them a list of birthday gifts they can get me. I have a list at every price level. Here are some of the items on my list.
- Cake
- Homemade card
- Flowers (any kind will do)
- Chocolate (lots of it)
- Set of Sharpie Markers
- Post-it Notes in any colour, shape or size
- Eiffel Tower Scissors
- Massage
- New handbag
- New boots
- Trip to Paris
I always get a Cake
I am fortunate enough to have sisters who will take the time to bake cakes for birthday’s and other occasions. Me not so much- I am more likely to order a cake! We have a tradition of make a doll type cake. We finally found a doll with blonde hair to resemble my colouring. My sisters have dark hair so the dark haired girl didn’t really reflect me. My nephew has always been in charge of decorating the cakes. He is a teen now and he is probably getting tired of keeping up these traditions – or so I thought. He knows that I am the Hashtag queen so I was so delighted to see his teen brain being so clever and creative. So what do you think of my Hashtag themed doll cake?
My nephew also gets me flowers every year as well. He also found a bronze hashtag to use on my desk.
