November is quickly approaching and with it comes Canada’s 5 year anniversary of celebrating Financial Literacy Month. Brought to you by the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada, Financial Literacy Month was created for the purpose of educating Canadians about their personal finances and empowering them to make responsible decisions with their money.

I’m sure most of us can admit to not always practicing the best money management. Financial Literacy Month (#FLM2015) is the perfect time to take command of your finances. All month long, the FCAC will be bringing together organizations to create resources and host events that will help Canadians learn about everything from budgeting and investing, to taxes and fraud protection.

More information regarding the #FLM2015 events and resources will be available in the coming weeks. For now, take a look at the personal finance tools created by the FCAC. To see how your financial skills measure up, take the financial literacy self-assessment quiz and see which areas you most need to learn about.

Don’t forget to connect with the FCAC and join the conversation on social media for updates on #FLM2015 – Twitter, Facebook, YouTube. You can be sure to #CountMeInCA.
