The Wickenheiser Female World Hockey Festival is coming to Calgary Nov. 26-29.

Female hockey teams from across Canada will be attending the 4 day event for seminars, workshops, and a friendly tournament. The festival will see 2,000 female players from 8-18 years old out on the ice, to compete and connect.

During the festival, teams will take part in workshops including circuit training, sport psychology, and a pancake breakfast! The event also includes a full day leadership program for 30 women, nominated by their team.

In partnership with Hockey Calgary, a skills camp has been added to the weekend for any female hockey players who want to attend without a team. Visit the Wickfest website for more info: wickhockey.com

Each team will play at least 4 games during the event, with finals on Sunday for each division.

There’ll also be on on-ice demo from Hayley Wickenheiser and some NHL special guests (past guests include retired NHL’ers Bryan Trottier, Trevor Linden and Brendan Morrison).
